Varicose Vein Treatments

Large, twisted veins, primarily in the legs, are often related to aging, pregnancy, heredity, obesity, female hormones, and inactivity. In some cases, varicose veins are uncomfortable or painful, and may lead to or indicate other health problems. Painful leg ulcers, primarily at the ankle, and blood clots are potential complications of varicose veins.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

. Under local anesthesia, tiny cuts are made over varicose veins, and the veins are lifted out using surgical hooks.

Endovenous Laser Therapy

or EVLT. Under local anesthesia, a small incision is made over the greater saphenous vein in the thigh. A thin laser is inserted and the laser directed to diseased veins, causing the veins to close.

Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy

(UGS). When veins are too deep for laser treatment, ultrasound is used to guide a chemical injection into the vein. The chemical destroys the vein by causing the walls to stick together and seal the vein.

Spider Vein Treatments

Enlarged red, blue, and purple veins near the surface of the skin are an issue for nearly half the adult women in the U.S. They may be removed for cosmetic reasons or for their discomfort.

A common treatment for spider veins, sclerotherapy involves injecting a chemical solution into a spider vein, causing its           destruction. For some patients, more than one treatment is needed.

Transdermal Laser Treatment

Non-surgical, superficial laser treatments may be used to destroy spider veins.

This system treats spider veins using heat to coagulate the vessels.

Prior to treatment, each patient is evaluated by Brooklyn vein Doctor Inam-Ul Haq and his team for underlying disorders, and accessory health problems, including ulcers, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and carotid disease. An individualized treatment plan is designed to best meet each patient’s needs. To schedule a consultation, contact the Laser and Varicose Vein Treatment Center today.
